If you know me, you'll realize that hearing this from me is very rare. Damn stupid computers!!!
Here it is..... I have taken two Visual Basic.6 classes. To get my Programming Degree, I need the Advanced VB.6 class. However, my school doesn't offer that this semester so to graduate for my second degree by May, I took Advanced Visual Basic.Net. That's .Net. Not 6.0 Very, very different beasts. Since my school doesn't offer this class, there is NO BODY to ask help from. And everyone leaves skidmarks when they leave.
Today: Since I bought new computer stuff, installed it last night, as my luck would be, I need an adapter to use my monitor......so...............my hubby leaves me the laptop when he goes to work, dropping the baby off at the sitters so I can write my programs before we have to leave at 2 for an appointment. Sounds like a plan, right? Remember my luck.
I have to write a class. Shouldn't be a problem, fairly easy thing to do. Riiiight...... I have to write a program that calls the calss. The stupid class won't take the name I give it. I rewrite it. I rewrite it. I rewrite it. It won't take the name and since it won't allow me to change the attributes, I can't erase the old ones either. Damn stupid computers.....
After doing this for an hour, I call the professor. Crying.... (must be close to that time of the month, who knows me to cry?) She tells me over and again that I'm doing fine in the class, to walk away. Yeah, I'm good at walking away from things. Soooo.... knowing full well she's right, I close the book. (she made me before I got off the phone, good woman) Then I do some housecleaning, start some laundry and thing, well, since there's no booze in the house, I'll make some tea.
Here I sit, checking emails with my book laughing at me. On top of it is a container of those marvelous Ferrero Rocher's, half empty. Guess that means the salads I've been eating for lunch are now cancelled.
I need to move right next door to my professor. She's a saint and a smart lady, but my lands....if I'm ever stupid enough to take an ADVANCED PROGRAMMING course ONLINE ever again .... someone shoot me!!
