DAMN STUPID COMPUTERS!!!

Alright! Alright! Alright!
I've had it! Now I know life ain't fair, the bad makes you enjoy the good and so on and so forth but COMMON!!! I have to get a break somewhere!

Let's recap. I have a program due 3 weeks ago. I have an assignment due last Friday and another program due this Friday. My modem gets a power surge so both PCI slots, (where your modem card plugs into) are out of order. Sooooo, I buy a new modem. Nope, both slots out, no luck here. So I buy a new board, new processor, new DVD burner while I'm at it.

Put all the stuff in the case, and I have no place to plug in my monitor. Apparently, I didn't pay enough attention to realize that with gamer boards, they just take it you'll pay $400 for a graphics card. (where you plug in your monitor) So I buy a cheap (HA!) $70 video card for the monitor. PUt that in. It won't start. Now I've lost my cool, my composure and my paitence. I start crying. What ever am I going to do my programming on?

My hubby however spends no less than 3 hours testing everything on the computer to see what's getting electric and what's not. Learned much from the man. Plus that my power supply is now out. So I grab another from a junk computer in the house. We test it. It works. Plug everything in and wha la! IT WORKS! I decide to reset my BIOS setting in teh morning since he spent so much time and he hates computers all together. (a new feeling for me lately)

This afternoon, the baby goes down, and I push the button in excitement. Nothing. Push it again. Nothing. I push, push, push. Yes, we all know it doesn't work but who doesn't do it? I think, well, since the power button has been sticking, maybe that's it.

I pull EVERYTHING out and move it to a new case. Nothing. I pull out the new board and put in the old one. Nothing. Nothing will turn on at all. Check the power supply. It's dead too. At this point, I'm now sobbing all over the place. This is the last straw I can take. With school, work, the computer, the stuff at home, I can't take any more.

My hubby cancels his 5 day trip he was suppose to start tomorrow because so far the only computer that runs the program I need to use is his laptop. He cancels his trip. I feel so bad.

We are so past the miracle work of chocolate.
