We have checked the van. Checked the trash twice. (found my daughter's other shoe) Under the couch, in it, behind it, under the coushions. In everyone's rooms, closets, under beds, in drawers, in the shower even, both bathrooms, laundry baskets, behind all furniture, WHERE IS IT!?!
How does this happen? It was on the table by the phone Tues. I was talking to a friend. I know it was on the bed because I made a phone call to the bank. Was that before or after the friend? Did I put it in my school bag? I can't remember. Did I take it to school yesterday? If i did, I left it there. Cause it's no longer in my bag. I don't remember it being at the tanning bed. I know it wasn't in my bag this morning.
I paid bills Tues. and had it then. The phone call was after that. Where is it! This is like the time I lost the jump drive. My LIFE is on that thing! I don't leave it anywhere besides my neck, purse and computer now. Planner, planner, planner.........UGH!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't use to be this forgetful. Is this because of age? Children? Or do I just have too much going on? I used to remember everyone's SS#, address complete with zip, phone number of my husbands work relations. Now.................my name is.......... ( I did call a guy at work by the wrong name twice today!)
SUBJECT CHANGE!!
I'm sitting here listening to my daugher go on and on about school and other girls. How did she get so big? When did this happen? She's all excited about her girlfriends, her birthday party, she's so adorable.
She went from this little, strong willed, stubborn, bald-headed midget to this tall (inch shorter than myself) long lashed young woman. She's now experimenting with make-up. Changing from jeans and tee-shirts to dressy shirts. I'm so proud.
She's got her mom beat in so many ways. Unlike me at 10 (soon to be 11), she's got complete confidence in herself. She likes herself. When others try to bring her down, she has such class in standing her ground. She's not cocky, but she doesn't budge. That's my girl!!!
Intelligent, captain of the math-bowl, cheerleader, reading award winner, looking forward to Jr. High. Freckles dotted along her cheeks. Almond eyes. She surprised me today. I came home after class and she had organized her two sisters to doing all chores and had even baked cookies in the short time they were home.
They come running out the door all excited. "Mom!! Don't go inside yet! It's a surprise!! Where's Bubs?" I'm gazing at the twinkle in my daughter's eyes as she chases after her brother. Looking at the flowers. Breathing in the fresh Spring air. Ahhhhhhh........the day will end much better than it began. (planner excluded)
After cookies and dinner, (in that order) they are trying on clothes, what fits this year v/s last year? Everyone's talking about school and things that excite them. What they learned. What they look forward to. I love my kids. I am so proud of them. Not because they are mine, but because of who they are becoming.
This must have been how my mother felt when she would say how much she enjoyed watching me grow. I just hope that all they hold as right and wrong they hold fast too. Doog-Boog doesn't want to be married. B-bug is a drama queen, flirt, everyone's friend, social bug. Goosh-Boosh is her own person all together. Bubs. He's a wild man.
All I know is...........I need to post pictures.
