~~~Canoeing~~~
It started with a beautiful, sunny fall day. We thought to ourselves, how nice would it be to go canoeing before we have to pick up the other two girls? So we put the canoe in and headed downstream. Look how clear this water is! It was like this throughout the whole trip.
As we paddled downstream, we stopped a few beach heads to let the kids explore. The sandy beaches were pleasant through the toes. How cute is Dink here?
It's uncertain if he's fishing or digging for clams, either way, he was having a good time.
All of the muscle was in the back. See, we kept going downstream. It wasn't until we turned around that we found how strong the current was. There was a point in the creek where we were doing nothing more than maintaining the same exact spot we were in.
See my two boys in the creek.
I just thought this was pretty. It's the beginning and ending of the adventure.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day. It looks calm, the slowly moving water gently lapping against the canoe....till you have to work against it.
My too children exploring.
The muscle in the back.
The boy went digging and found an actual live clam...and it's huge!
It's always nice to catch him when he's not looking. Here he was petting the cats and being a good boy.
I promised that I would put a picture of her dressed up for Homecoming. How adorable is she and her friends? The one on the right is responsible for getting us addicted to Twilight.
